Nekketsu Kouha Kunio-Kun  Technos;Taito (Technos)1987[b]REBEL WITHOUT A CAUSE[/b]

In the knife-edge world of the vigilante there is no place to rest, no time to think — but look sharp — there is always time to die! From the city subways to the gangland ghettos you will always encounter the disciples of evil who's mission it is to exterminate the only man on earth who dares to throw down the gauntlet in their path — the Renegade. [b]PLAY RENEGADE... PLAY MEAN![/b]***Renegade has some significance for the Beat'em Up genre which would implement lots of Renegade's gameplay elements. But I don't think the NES version plays very good. I felt that kick-jumping is the most effective method for the whole game. Parts of it are frustrating. The last level annoyed me quite a bit with trying to find the right way through many screens. The Japanese and US versions have in parts different background and sprite graphics. The overall quality of the graphics is ok, and there is even some variety in gameplay with a scene where you must ride a motorbike. And as mentioned at the beginning, it is a rather innovative game.

Nekketsu Koukou Dodgeball Bu  Technos;CSG Imagesoft (Technos)1988In Super Dodge Ball, you take control of the USA Dodge Ball team and travel the world in an effort to become the best dodge ballers around. Step onto playing fields in countries all over the globe and use a combination of normal and super shots to help take down your opponents. But be careful, as some destinations have surfaces that can affect your footing. Manage the team as you think best, and swap out characters with other players that better fit your playing style. Two players can enjoy a head-to-head game or play a spirited round of Bean Ball, a six-character free-for-all. Three difficulty levels are available (Easy, Medium, and Hard); which one you choose will depend on your skill and courage. Do you have what it takes to lead Team USA to the ultimate prize and win the world championship of dodge ball?***developed by Technos Japan Corp.
NES-ND-USA, Super Dodge ball published by Sony Imagesoft (CSG Imagesoft Inc.) 1989-06 in the USA
Nekketsu Koukou Dodgeball Bu published by Technos Japan Corp.1988-07-26 in Japan
The title means "Nekketsu High School Dodgeball Club"

1 player, 2 players, 3 players or 4 players simultaneous.
The Japanese version used the Famicom Four-way Adapter to allow up to to 4 players. The NES Four Score and NES Satellite had not yet been released in the USA by June of 1989, so the NES version was only 2 players and did not include a 4 player option.
[Zerothis]***Part of that killer Technos triplet also consisting of River City Ransom and (four-player) Nintendo World Cup. A 'unique sports game,' six-character teams (three in the left half of the court and three surrounding the opponent's half) attempt to drain all the energy of the three in-court opposing characters (shown in the bars at the top of the screen), thereby winning the match. By running up to the line, the three in-court players can deliver special power throws, each player on the team having two different power throws (running and running-then-jumping).***I don't care what anyone says--this is the [i]best[/i] dodgeball game in existance. Period.

[27]***River City Ransom takes place in River City, where our heroes, Alex and Ryan, find a letter on Ryan's locker from a guy named Slick. The letter says that Ryan's girlfriend, Cyndi, has been kidnapped, and Slick has taken River City hostage with the help of countless gangs and evil bosses. It's up to our heroes to save poor Cyndi and free River City from the clutches of Slick and his underlings. You can play as Alex and take on the challenge alone or battle with two players simultaneously as Alex and Ryan. Kick and punch to fight your way through gang members, evil bosses and other goons, or use a variety of weapons including a chain whip, brass knuckles and a tire, to name a few. Raise your stats by eating right, and gain new techniques by reading books. With your fighting prowess and never-ending spirit, the bad guys won't know what hit them.***They take your girlfriend. You gotta get her back. A buddy helps you out. You walk around beating people senseless and taking their cash to get food and more techniques you learn via books.
The moral: Steeping on hostile truf usually attracts conflict and you can learn how to flail and turn into a ball if you read a book. Fun game even though it's not believable that your school would be that far away from you and they'd still kidnap your girlfriend instead of someone more important or closer, but yeah... fun game.
Ordering a smile in fast food restaurants was neat, so I started doing it in real life. Got different results. Heh.
[Pfilosophy]***Awesome game, one of my childhood classics. I remember I used to play this all the time with my brother. The only problem was writing down the password (to save your game). It was like a million characters long and case-sensitive. One mistake would cost you the game--god help you if you have bad handwriting. You definitely want to play this game with a friend, that's where this game really shines. RUN! RUN! I'M GONNA LOSE MY MONEY!
[cjlee001]***1 player or 2 players simultaneous cooperative. Published by [company=Technos]Technos[/company] in Japan 1989-04-25, American Technos in North America 1990-01, [company=Infogrames]Infogrames[/company] in Europe 1991, and (I guess by Infogrames) in Australia 1991.
The literal translation of the name is, 'Downtown Hot-Blooded Story'.

Downtown Special: Kunio-kun no Jidaigeki Dayo Zenin Shuugou!  Technos1991Game description taken from Turk1014's Technos Samurai FAQ:

This game features things River City Ransom didn't, like more techniques, techs, more items, more than secret shops, and a storyline that makes more sense. You even get to have an ally, the dude running around beside you. Plus, it takes place in feudal Japan.

Here's how it goes: Kunio has to go see his master, Bunzo, because he is in some kind of trouble. Kunio's brother, Tsuu, tells him to wait. Right in front of the dojo(?) you meet Asaji and Okoto. Apparently, Asaji and Okoto are fiances and Kunio appears to be jealous saying, 'we'll see about that!' Kunio enters Bunzo's (that's the dojo, I think it's a dojo.) Tora, a bad guy, has cursed Bunzo. To get rid of the curse, he needs some Kanpou. So begins Kunio's quest or whatever.

Nekketsu Kakutou Densetsu  Technos1992Game description from [[link:http://www.romhacking.net Romhacking.net]]:

I've actually been fortunate enough to play this game on cart, with three other people with rahga's amazing four-player adapter. It's a Technos game, which means two things: one, all the characters look like they do in all the other Technos games, and two, it involves these characters beating the hell out of each other. This is why people love Technos games.

You can play two-on-two, or a four-player free-for-all, or a variety of other stuff. You play in a smallish arena, and beat each other up, and whoever's left standing wins. Totally fun! When you die you turn into food, which is really weird. So one of the other characters can actually eat your dead hamburger corpse, and gain back some life. The controls are pretty hard to get used to, but once you do you can really kick some ass.

Kunio kun no Nekketsu Soccer League  Technos1993Like almost everything Technos has ever made, Kunio Kun Soccer is a tribute to violence. It's a sequel to World Cup Soccer, which is the American bastardization of another Kunio game.

Along with all the normal violence you'd come to expect from a Kunio sports game (namely, the ability to beat up other players to gain possession of the ball), this game offers some other interesting features. You have some weather effects, which make things more difficult by adding stuff like wind gusts and lightning strikes (which fry anyone who happens to be standing in a puddle). ALl the weather effects seem to tax the NES, however — thanks to good old slowdown. You also get to strategize, and tell the other players what to do, though most of them will ignore you and run in circles and pass the ball to absolutely no one.
It's an alright game, but there's probably much more soccer fun to be had elsewhere.

Nekketsu Street Basket: Ganbare Dunk Heroes  Technos1993Game description from [[link:http://www.romhacking.net Romhacking.net]]:

Yep, it's a badass Technos basketball game. Being technos, it should be a given that the game concentrates more on beating the snot out of your opponents than actually playing basketball. Also being a Technos game, it should be a given that it's quite fun. Anyway, the 'courts' (and I do use the term loosely) are riddled with obstacles, weapons and multi-level baskets, and are in such locales as Navy Ship Yards, downtown San Francisco, and many other zany places like that. You know, normal, Technos-style fun-fun ^_^
